Title:
ANALOG/DIGITAL CONVERTING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01295301
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive analog/digital (A/D) converting circuit by selecting successively the digital input terminals of a D/A converting means down to the lower rank digits from the highest rank digit to apply the shift signals to these input terminals and at the same time comparing the analog output signal of said D/A converting means with the analog input signal to undergo the A/D conversion. CONSTITUTION:When the comparing actions are through with all bits of a D/A converting means 5, the digital signal obtained through the A/D conversion of an analog input signal 601 is held by a shift holding means 7. Then the pulse insulating means 9 and 10 are set between a clock generating means 1 and a shift signal generating means 2 as well as between a comparing means 6 and the means 7 respectively. Thus it is possible to inexpensively convert the instant value of an analog signal into a digital signal with no delay of the detecting time and with insulation.
