PURPOSE: To cook baked sweet potato, etc., having good taste, and also, to shorten its cooking time by constituting this container of a non-radio wave absorbing heat insulation layer which is formed by a ceramic material, etc., and allows a microwave to transmit through, and a cooked object heating layer having a non-radio wave absorbing material for allowing a microwave to transmit through and a radio wave absorbing/heating material which is formed by a non-radio wave absorbing material and a ferrite material, etc., absorbs a microwave and executes heating.

CONSTITUTION: A cooking container 10 is constituted of a bottomed and cylindrical container body 11, and a cover body 12 for opening and closing its upper opening. The container body 11 is formed by two inside and outside layers, and the outside layer is constituted of a non-radio wave absorbing heat insulation layer 13 obtained by mixing and forming ceramic powder and a binding agent for allowing a microwave to transmit through, and also, sintering them. The inside layer is constituted of a cooked object heating layer 14 obtained by mixing and forming ceramic powder, ferrite powder for absorbing a microwave and heating and radiating infrared rays, and a binding agent for coupling this ceramic powder and ferrite powder, and also, sintering them.
