PURPOSE: To provide a machine/tool for cooking and/or eating and drinking, which excels in vibratory insulation, emits less sounds uncomfortable to the ear when it is used has anti-corrosiveness, and is free of toxity as well as rusting by making its metal base part from a Mg-Ti type material.

CONSTITUTION: A piece of metal tableware such as spoon (a) or knife (b) is constructed so that its whole structure consists of a Mg-Ti type material. Both Mg and Ti are free of toxity to a vital organism, and Mg alloy constitutes a silent metal presenting an extremely high vibratory damping ability. The specific damping factor of the tensile strength 55-65kgf/mm2 of 50%Mg-50%Ti material is as high as 30-45%, compared with a conventional 12-13 Cr steel whose corresponding value is approx. 10%, and therefore, no irritating metallic sounds will be generated when this material is used to tableware.
