PURPOSE: To enhance the collection efficiency of an oversprayed paint by circulating a cooling medium cooled to a specific temp. into a hollow barrel of a paint collecting buffle material in a paint booth used in a spray painting.
CONSTITUTION: An article 1 to be painted conveyed into a paint booth 2 by a transfer conveyor 2 is painted by a spray gun 3 and an oversprayed mist is adbanced to a direction of a buffle material 5 and, moreover, a collecting filter 6 on a air stream in the booth generated by an exhaust fan 4. On the other hand, the gas compressed by a freezing compressor 7 is supplied to a gas cooling tower 9 through an oil separator 8 and liquefied by cooling to 10°CW-50°C. The liquefied gas is passed through a pipe 11 by a cooling medium pump 10 and sent into a hollow barrel of the buffle material 5 and gasified again under vacuum. When the liquefied gas is gasified, the buffle material 5 is cooled suddenly and an ice coating is formed thereon. Thereby, the mist on a surface of the buffle material 5 can be recovered efficiently.
