Abstract:
Copolyesters of iso- or terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, 1,3 bis(2-hydroxyethoxy) benzene, and possibly other diols, have lower 02 and CO2 permeabilities because of the 1,3 bis(2-hydroxyethoxy) benzene reactant. Also disclosed are hollow containers, sheet and film made from such copolyesters.
