Abstract:
To control the strength of a core produced by the mixing of core sand and a binder.SOLUTION: A recycling method for core sand according to an embodiment is a method for producing a core produced by mixing core sand and a binder 9, and comprises a step S1 where a first core used for casting is cracked to obtain cracked core sand 8, a step S2 where granules with a particle size equal to or larger than a prescribed size are removed from the cracked core sand 8 to obtain reclamation sand 10, a step S3 where the reclamation sand 10 is added to a solution to generate a solution 14 with the binder dissolved therein, a step S4 where the amount of the binder included in the solution 14 is measured, a step S5 where the amount of an active binder included in the reclamation sand 10 is estimated from the amount of the binder included in the solution 14, and a step S6 where, based on the estimated amount of the active binder, the amount of the binder included in a second core molded by adding the binder to the reclamation sand 10 is regulated to a pre-set concentration to produce the second core.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
