PURPOSE: A cosmetic obtained by incorporating an extract or pressed juice from leaves or stems of Angelica keiskei Koidz. of the family Umbelliferae with a cosmetic base and capable of dilating blood capillaries, improving the blood stream, promoting the skin metabolism, smoothing the skin and exhibiting effect even on prevention of gray hair at the same time.

CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic containing an extract or pressed juice from leaves or stems of Angelica keiskei Koidz. (another name; Angelica utilis Makino) in an amount of 1W50wt%. The cosmetic is used in various forms, e.g. shampoo, rinse, lotion, pack, hair tonic, bath agent, soap, etc., and is capable of exhibiting effect on reduction of pimple and treatment and prevention, etc., of skin roughening and aging. The above-mentioned extract is obtained by drying leaves or stems of the fresh Angelica keiskei Kodz., finely cutting the dried leaves or stems, extracting the finely cut leaves or stems with water or 1,3-bytylene glycol, ethanol, etc., alone or in a mixture at ordinary temperature or while heating and concentrating the resultant extract solution. The presses juice is obtained by finely cutting the leaves or stems of the fresh Angelica keiskei Kodz. and pressing the leaves or stems thereof.
