This grinder is provided with a cup type metal base 2 having a peripheral wall part 2b, an abrasive grain layer segment 6 arranged at the lower end surface 4 of the peripheral wall part 2b in an annular shape, a fluid receiving recessed part 14 formed at the upper end surface of the metal base 2, and a number of fluid feeding holes 16 whose one end is opened at the inner bottom surface 14b of the fluid receiving recessed part 14 and whose other end is opened at a more inward side than the peripheral wall part 2b of a base metal lower surface. The fluid periphery surface 8 of the peripheral wall part 2b is an inclined surface spreading outwards downwards from the above. The outer periphery side surface 14a of the fluid receiving recessed part 14 is an inclined surface spreading outwards toward downwards from above. The inner bottom surface 14b of the fluid receiving recessed part 14 is an inclined surface spreading downwards toward the outer periphery side from inner periphery side.
