To provide a cup type grinder preventing grinding fluid from remaining inside the grinder.
This grinder is provided with a cup type metal base 2 having a peripheral wall part 2b, an abrasive grain layer segment 6 arranged at the lower end of the peripheral wall part 2b in an annular shape, a fluid receiving recessed part 14 formed at the upper end surface of the metal base 2, and a number of fluid feeding holes 16 whose one end is opened at the inner bottom surface 14b of the fluid receiving recessed part 14 and whose other end is opened at a more inward side than the peripheral wall part 2b of a base metal lower surface. The fluid feeding hole 16 is formed at such an angle as to go outwards in the radial direction of the metal toward downwards from above, and the fluid feeding hole 16 has such a taper shape that a passage cross section reduces downwards from the above.
