Abstract:
To provide a cutting tool capable of preventing an oil seal member from being baked onto an outer surface of a rotation shaft.SOLUTION: A cutting tool comprises a rake face, a flank face and a cutting blade. The flank face is continuous to the rake face. The cutting blade is formed on a ridge line between the rake face and the flank face. The cutting tool has a polygonal shape in a planar view. The cutting blade is formed along a side in a polygonal shape. When measuring a height profile of the cutting blade in a direction perpendicular to the flank face, the maximum relative height of the height profile is less than 0.05 mm and a percentage of frequencies at which relative heights of the cutting blade are 0.03 mm or more and less than 0.05 mm is 30% or higher, in the height profile.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
