To provide a new cyclopropane compound useful as a perfume ingredient and a perfume composition comprising the compound.

The cyclopropane compound is represented by formula (1) [wherein, R1 denotes one kind of group selected from the group consisting of formulas (2), (3), (4), (5), (6) and (7) (wherein, r1, r3, r5, r7, r9 and r11 denote each independently a 1-10C alkyl group; r2, r4, r6, r8, r10 and r12 denote each independently hydrogen atom or methyl group; and a, b and c denote each independently 1 or 2); R2 denotes hydrogen atom or methyl group; and n denotes 1 or 2]. The perfume composition comprises the cyclopropane compound.
