PURPOSE: To efficiently manage data substance not being housed in the table of a relational data base with uniform length by providing a substance name storing string managing part and a substance storing part classified by attribute, and referring to the same data substance from plural fields in the same string.
CONSTITUTION: A data managing part 15 takes out table data record by record from a table data storage part 16, and decides whether or not the record satisfies a condition. When the record satisfying the condition exists, the table data of the record is returned to a data editing part 13 or a data retrieval part 14. At this time, when a request to take out the data substance relating to a designated data substance name is issued from the data editing part 13 or the data retrieval part 14 to the data managing part 15, the data managing part 15 refers to the substance name storing string managing part 17, and takes out the data substance relating to the data substance name from the substance storage part 18 classified by attribute. In such a way, it is possible to manage the data substance not being housed in the table of the relational data base with the uniform length efficiently.
