Abstract:
To improve the speed of reading data from a slow secondary storage device.
When the reading request of data 1 occurs first, another piece of data 2 related as data which is highly probably read next by a previously fixed rule is previously developed from MO(magnetooptic disk) 12 being a low storage device to a cache memory 11 being a fast storage device in advance. Therefore, even if a reading request to data 2 given after it is actually first one, data 2 developed to the memory 11 from MO 12 at the time of the reading request of data 1 before it can be read from the memory 11 at high speed. Consequently, data reading speed from MO 12 is substantially improved.
