Abstract:

This intention determination device selects one option from among 2n options (where n is a natural number) for which a reward can be stochastically received. The intention determination device: forms a virtual binary tree by using 2n-1 circuit elements capable of controlling a prescribed physical quantity value together with stochastic variation in the positive or negative direction with respect to a reference value; selects one among the options on a trial basis to determine the presence or absence of a reward; and controls the physical quantity value of each circuit element related to the option that has been selected on the trial basis in accordance with a predetermined rule.
