To provide a defroster for an automobile and a method for defrosting an automobile capable of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by eliminating or reducing warming up for defrosting an automobile.
This defroster for an automobile includes: a heat source; a heat pipe for connecting the heat source with a heat receiving side end portion; delivery means mounted on the heat radiation side of the heat pipe for delivering a heat medium warmed by the heat pipe toward the windshield and the side glass of the automobile. This defrosting method for an automobile uses the defroster for an automobile so as to transport heat from the heat source through the heat pipe to warm the heat medium and deliver the heat medium toward the windshield and the side glass of the automobile for defrosting the glass.
