A refrigerant circuit 106 constituted by piping and connecting a compressor 102, a heat radiator 103, an expanding mechanism 104 and a heat absorber 105 forming a refrigerating cycle, and a moisture absorbing and releasing means 119 having a moisture absorbing portion 120 for absorbing moisture from the supplied air and a moisture releasing portion 121 for releasing moisture to the supplied air, are mounted in a main body 101 of this dehumidifier. The main body 101 is provided with a suction opening 112 and a supply opening 113, the dehumidified air 116 and the cooled air 2 are supplied to the main body 101 from the suction opening 112 by the operation of an air supply fan 109, a temperature sensor 12 for detecting a temperature of the heat radiator 103 and a temperature sensor 13 for detecting a temperature of the heat absorber 115 are mounted, and a control device 3 properly controls heating quantity of a heating means 1 in accordance with use purpose on the basis of temperature data of the temperature sensors, thus the dehumidifier of high energy efficiency and stable in dehumidifying performance can be provided.
