A desalting apparatus 1 is provided with a flow channel 2 to flow a cell suspension liquid in the state of laminar flow, a dilution liquid inlet port 3 placed at a side wall 2a side of the flow channel 2 and inletting the dilution liquid flowing along the side wall 2a and a dilution liquid outlet port 4 placed at the same side wall 2a side and outletting the dilution liquid flowing along the side wall 2a. The distance between the dilution liquid inlet port 3 and the dilution liquid outlet port 4 is set to a distance that enables flow of the cell suspension liquid and the dilution liquid, in a state contacting with each other over a time which is longer than the diffusion time of the salt in the cell suspension liquid to the dilution liquid.
