To provide a desk equipped with a display placing rack which allows installation of a display in any desired position and has no risk of falling off with an earthquake.

A desk has a display placing rack over the front part, and a front lock edge 14 having approx. a channel-form section to admit fitting of the front edge of the pedestal 13 of a display 12 is formed on the front edge of a rack plate 10 to constitute the display placing rack 8, and the rack plate 10 is furnished at a certain spacing with a number of long holes 15 which are longer in the direction fore and aft and is fitted with a locking tool 16 including a lock part to be engaged with the tail edge of the pedestal 13 and a mounting seat 18 for mounting on the rack plate. A set screw 19 to be treaded through the mounting seat 18 is inserted into the long hole 15 in the display installing position and fixed, and the tail edge of the pedestal is locked by the lock part of the tool 16 so that the display is fixed in any desired position in the direction to the left and right by the front lock edge 14 and the lock part of the tool 16.
