To obtain a liq. developer capable of imparting a high electric charge to particles by incorporating a nonpolar liq., a pigment, a mixture of two kinds of resins, an electric charge inducing agent and an aluminum hydroxide-contg. electric charge controlling agent.
This liq. developer contains a nonpolar liq., a mixture of two kinds of thermoplastic resins having mutually different melt indexes, a pigment and an electric charge inducing agent or further contains an electric charge assistant and an electric charge controlling agent contg. a component represented by formula I or II if necessary. In the formulae I, II, R1 is H or about ≤25C alkyl and (n) is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. The melt index of the 1st resin is about 50-800 and that of the 2nd resin is about 850-2,500. This liq. developer having improved fixability is produced by mixing the above-mentioned components except the nonpolar liq., heating and cooling the resultant mixture.
