Title:
DEVICE FOR DISCRIMINATING PAPER MONEY AND CARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6423386
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the space and the cost in a discriminative device by carrying paper money and card through a common carrier path to execute recognition.

CONSTITUTION: The space between a guide plate 25 and a receiving plate 26 is the carrier path and continuous from a guide port 19. Its width A is the width of a paper money but a groove suitable for the width B of a card is provided so that both can be received. Sensors 1-3 detect the insertion of the paper money and car and also discriminate them. When only the sensor 2 is operated, the card is detected and a reading magnetic sensor 9 works so as to read card contents. When all the sensors 1-3 are operated, it is a paper money is detected, and the pattern is detected by the magnetic sensors 7 and 8 and CPU compares it with data of true paper money in a storage device with a detecting circuit 16 so as to be judged. In this way, since paper money and card are made passable to be dealt by the same carrier path, the device is made small and the cost is reduced.
