Abstract:

To facilitate the work of maintaining a thermometer and to prevent the water-cooled refractory wall from being damaged during the work.

This device is used to control the discharge of molten slag by inserting a protective pipe 21 in a freely detachable manner into a gasification chamber 2 for reacting coal with a gasifying agent at high temperatures through the refractory 20 of the water-cooled refractory wall and measuring the temperature through the tube 21. A cooling member 28 is provided on the inside surface of the refractory 20, the tube is inserted thereinto, and the tube 21 is provided with a means for cooling to the upper limit of the deposition preventing temperature of slag 24b or below according to the material of which the member 23 is made.
