A cargo handling device 5 of a forklift truck has a fork 8 with interval adjustable in a width direction, and fixes a fork 8 at an adjusted position by inserting the fork fixing pin 10 in a pin hole 7f opened at a positioning member 7e. A pin falling out preventing means 12 for preventing the fork fixing pin 10 from falling out from the pin hole 7f by locking a locking part 12d at the positioning member 7e. Whereby, the pin falling out preventing means 12 prevents the fork fixing pin 10 from falling out from the pin hole 7f through a lock to the positioning member 7e even if vibration or shock acts on the cargo device 5 during cargo handling or traveling. So that, it is possible to prevent a cargo placed on the fork 8 from falling down due to an out-of-control movement of the fork 8 during cargo handling or traveling, or prevent the fork fixing pin 10 from being lost by falling out.
