Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve transfer efficiency between an image filing device and an external device at the time of editing and registering a registered image by providing a device for the coding and decoding of the image and a device to synthesize the image before editing with the image of a change part on the filing device. CONSTITUTION:An instruction received from a work station 1 is analyzed by a CPU 30 in a file server 3, and coded image information at each change part of the image for editing transferred by the station 1 is decoded by a decoder circuit 24. And decoded image information at each change part is written in a storage area on a picture memory 26 designated by (an editing image start position) and (an editing image completion position) in the instruction by the control of a CPU 20. Then, the synthesis of the image information of the image for editing and that of the change part is performed on a memory 26 by an image synthesizing device 12 consisting of the CPU 20 and the memory 26, then, the image information of the image after editing in which apart of an original image for editing is changed can be obtained.
