PURPOSE: To provide a device for winding in a plate which makes removal and fitting of a printing plate smooth even when a printing plate fitting groove is set in a minimum gap for minimizing a nonprinting part and reducing an impact of rotation.

CONSTITUTION: In a device for winding in a plate wherein a printing plate fitting groove 3 opening like a slit in the outer peripheral surface 9 of a plate cylinder 1 is formed in this cylinder 1 and wherein a winding-in shaft 7 is provided rotatably around its own central axis in the bottom part of the printing plate fitting groove 3 of the plate cylinder 1 and a bent piece 55 of the opposite end to a gripper end of a printing plate 51 is gripped by a slit-like groove 5 for fitting this opposite end, which is formed in the winding-in shaft 7, the end side of a second groove side 19 of the groove 5 which opens in the outer peripheral surface of the winding-in shaft is made a slant 21 slanting at a prescribed slant angle to the direction of the opening.
