Abstract:
PURPOSE: To execute multicasting without duplicating the storage of a cell packet body or its address. CONSTITUTION: The cell body of a received cell is stored in a memory and cell details 65 including the address of the cell body are stored in a queue block 63. A block output control device 69 is provided with plural pointers 68 for referring to cell details in each output stream, plural output streams refer to different positions of one cell detail in accordance with the advancement of processing and the cell body is extracted and transmitted based on the reference.
