To provide a die casting machine for manufacturing a cylinder liner which reduces frictional force generated between the cylinder liner and a bore pin when a cylinder block body and the cylinder liner are released from a die after the cylinder liner is inserted into the cylinder block body regardless of the material of the bore pin onto which the cylinder liner is externally fitted, and to provide a method for manufacturing the cylinder liner with the use of the die casting machine.
The die casting machine 11 is equipped with a bushing 17, and a die 12 in which a tubular cavity 18 surrounding the outer circumference of the bushing 17 is formed. The outer circumferential surface 17a of the bushing 17 is roughened and asperities are formed on the outer circumferential surface 17a of the bushing 17.
