Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver, with which convenience is improved by totally handling respective messages from a broadcaster to a user, from a receiver itself to the user and from the user to another user.
SOLUTION: In a digital broadcast receiver 30, a mail receiving and display function is packaged for taking in mail information on digital broadcast waves, string it in a memory 14, reading the mail information out of the memory 14A and displaying it on a screen. While utilizing this mail display function, a message stored in the memory 14A or nonvolatile memory 14B is read out and displayed on the screen as mail. Namely, not only a message from the broadcaster but also a message generated by the device itself or message inputted by the user can be displayed on the screen as mail.
