To provide a digital camera capable of warning a user of presence/no presence of an abnormal reflection area caused by reflecting flash light more than estimated into a picked-up image.

The digital camera comprises: a display section 33 for displaying image data; an imaging section (31, 32) for picking up an object image to create image data; a photometry section 30 for dividing the image data into a plurality of areas and calculating a photometric value for each area; a light emitting device 40 for emitting illumination light to an object; a control section 30 for comparing luminance values respectively for each identical area in first image data for discrimination created without emitting light from the light emitting device and second image data for discrimination created with light emission from the light emitting device 40 and setting an area, when the difference of the value is a predetermined value or more, as an abnormal reflection area; and an alarm display control section 33 for displaying an alarm when there is an area determined as the abnormal reflection area.
