Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized digital camera provided with a mirror that can be withdrawn and that distributes light transmitted through a photographing lens into different directions.
SOLUTION: A half mirror turnable upward is obliquely placed in an optical path ranging from an image pickup lens to an image pickup element and light reflected by the half mirror is led to an optical finder provided at the upper part thereof. The drive section turning the half mirror is fixed to a support base that supports the drive shaft of the half mirror are specifies the position thereof on the optical path, and the support base is configured to be turnable backward together with the half mirror and the drive section. Turning the support base backward can provide a space in a camera main body so as to allow the camera main body to accommodate the image pickup lens.
