Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently heat ash to a specified temp. and to shorten the time necessary to thermally decompose dioxin.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with a thermal decomposition tank 1, a thermal decomposition chamber 8 furnished at the upper part in the tank 1 and receiving the ash A contg. dioxin and a heating medium B, a screen 5 set at the lower end of the chamber 8 in the tank 1 and separating the ash A and heating medium B and an ash insulating chamber 9 disposed below the screen 5 in the tank 1 and heating the ash A separated by the screen 5 at a specified temp. The heating medium B used in heating the ash A and separated by the screen 5 is discharged to the outside from an outlet 10 at the lower end of the chamber 8 and introduced into the chamber from an inlet 3 at the upper end of the chamber 8 by a heating medium circulating device 18. The medium B is heated by a heater 21 before being introduced into the chamber 8 by the circulating device 18 from the inlet 3.
