Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital VTR capable of performing fast-forward reproduction and also smoothing a reproduced image at the time of fast-forward reproduction without using a special circuit as a formatter.
SOLUTION: The VTR is provided with a recording control means in which, when actual data in a unit of one recording block consisting of a plurality of data blocks are stored in a memory at the time of recording, the data blocks are read at intervals of several fields, the data formed by assigning time-series numbers to the respective read data blocks is recorded in a magnetic tape as searching data blocks, and then, the remaining data blocks are read from the memory and time-series numbers are assigned to the respective data blocks read from the remaining data blocks to record them in the magnetic tape.
