Title:
DILATANT LIQUID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3867898
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new dilatant liquid kept in a liquid state over a wide temperature range, having high mechanical strengths, and exhibiting great change in viscous resistance concomitant with shearing stress increase.
SOLUTION: This dilatant liquid comprises 10-500 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane having nitrogen atom-containing functional groups and 100 pts.wt. of inorganic or organic compound particles. The liquid becomes a sol under lower shearing stress, becoming a gel under higher shearing stress.
