To provide a disc device for storing write data in a cache memory in response to a write command capable of maintaining data integrity upon receiving a power save command.
A disc storage device 10 stores the write data in a cache region 14A of a data buffer 14 in response to the write command from a host, reports write completion to the host, and then writes the write data of the cache region 14A in a storage medium 19. The disc storage device stores the write data stored in the data buffer 14 in a saving region provided in a storage disc 19 in response to reception of the power save command, executes the power save command, and reports a response to the host. Therefore, a processing time to the command is shortened while maintaining safety of the write data, and a response time to the host can be shortened.
