PURPOSE: To enable eating establishment to smoothly retrieve empty dishes used by a customer. Device simultaneously counts the number of used dishes and calculates charge to the customer.

CONSTITUTION: The device comprises dishes (3) inputting openings (5) on tables (1a, 1b), a conveyor (6) to carry dishes (3) input through the inputting openings (5) to the retrieval point, a guideway (50) to conduct dishes (3) from the inputting openings(5) to the conveyor (6). The device further comprises a dish sensor (7) to detect dishes (3) injected through the inputting openings (5), a calculating device to calculate the number of dishes (3) injected through the inputting openings (5) based upon output signals from the dish sensor (7), and a display device to display the number of dishes (3) detected by the calculating device. Thus, retrieval of empty dishes and display of the number of collected dishes are made possible.
