Abstract:
PURPOSE: To adjust an optical head at an accurate angle to a disk irrespective of a variation of the disk and a secular change.
CONSTITUTION: An offset generating circuit 43 is controlled to generate a prescribed offset signal by a control circuit 42. A skew motor 14 is driven in accordance with this offset signal to adjust a relative angle of the optical head 3 to the optical disk 1 by a skew servo circuit 11. An amplitude of a tracking error signal at this time is detected to be outputted to the control circuit 42 by a level detecting circuit 41. The offset signal outputted by the offset generating circuit 43 is adjusted to make the amplitude of the tracking error signal max. by the control circuit 42.
