Title:
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3163023
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a power-off state for a suspended equipment without resuming it by stopping supply of the drive voltage to the equipment in response to a reset instruction in a suspended state of the equipment.
SOLUTION: A CPU 1 has a reset signal input port 2 and a suspension signal output port 3. When the CPU 1 is suspended, a low-level signal is outputted via the port 3 and the output of an inverting circuit 7 is kept at a high level as long as a reset switch 6 is depressed. Thus, a high-level signal is supplied to a power circuit 10 from an OR circuit 9 and accordingly the circuit 10 continuously supplies the drive voltage. If the switch 6 is depressed under such conditions, the output of the circuit 7 is set at a low level. As a result, the output of the circuit 9 is set at a low level and the circuit 10 stops supply of the drive voltage. Thereby, an electronic equipment is turned off and the unnecessary power consumption is suppressed.
