CONSTITUTION: A flat, for example, phosphor display device is provided with a space structure 5 between the two substrates 1 and 3 having a separation distance of 200μm. For this purpose, masks 9, 15 consisting of plural layers are built, if needed between photosensitive materials 8 and 3. The necessary spacer structure is obtd. after exposing, developing and removing of the masks.
