PURPOSE: To realize a simple-structure divider circuit which can perform the division process regardless of the plus or minus of two signals and also features a large dynamic range and gain.
CONSTITUTION: Current source 31 of 1st current i1 corresponding to 1st signal e1 is connected to the emitter of transistor Q29 as well as to the base of emitter Q30 of absolute value circuit 23. And absolute value current i1 flows to output terminal 23a regardless of the plus or minus of current i1. Constant current source 29 is provided to reciprocal number circuit 22 to supply Ia, and I2a/i1 flows to output terminal 22a. Differential amplifier circuit 27 consisting of differential TrQ24, Q25 and Q26 is installed to polarity decision circuit 21 along with differential amplifier circuit 26 comprising differential TrQ21 and Q22 plus current source TrQ23. Then the polarity decision result of signal e1 is multiplied by 2nd signal e2 and signal I2a/i1 of terminal 22a, and Iout=K.e2/e1 is delivered to output terminal 4 (K: constant).
