A document distribution device is provided with: an input part 11 or a transmission/reception control part 14 to which a distribution source document having a plurality of individual documents is inputted; a setting information memory 13 for storing a plurality of preset groups and identification codes for identifying corresponding individual documents for each group; a control means for reading the identification codes from the set information memory 13, for detecting the individual documents including the identification codes read from the distribution original document read by the input part 11 or the transmission/reception control part 14, for generating documents for distribution for each group by sorting the detected individual documents for each group, and for controlling the generated documents for distribution to be transmitted for each group; and an I/F 17 for transmitting the documents for distribution generated by the control means.
