CONSTITUTION: A disk is inserted into a disk driving device 7 and a program on the disk is loaded in the program memory of the processor 1. At this time, a specific starting screen is obtained on a CRT display device 5. Then, the CRT display device 5 displays a screen for initialization. Then, an operator sets tabs, margins, and the number of lines, assigns keys, and sets the name of a document initially on a keyboard 3 over look at said screen. A field for a date is provided in the screen for initialization and the date of document creation is typed in. Thus, the set date is inserted into a document automatically at a specific position.
