To provide a doll type controller capable of providing a game which exceeds a simple instructing or drawing function, rich in an entertainment property rather than conventional one.
A picture book cartridge 12, which is the software cartridge of a picture book type, is loaded into a folding main body 10 of game device. An upper lid is detached from a bottom lid 14 of the main body 10 of game device and opened and the picture book cartridge 12 is inserted into an inside cartridge slot 18. A monitor 90 for displaying a game picture is connected to the main body 10 of game device and a doll type controller 100 is connected to the picture book cartridge 12. The doll type controller 100 is setting that a character displayed on the monitor 90 jumps out of the picture.
