PURPOSE: To obtain a drive device which prevents dust from creeping in from the outside and which moves a disk cartridge inside a hermetically sealed structure.
CONSTITUTION: A carrier 3 is moved back and forth inside the hermetically sealed structure which is formed out of a chassis 1, a front panel 75 and an upper-part housing 78. A holder 2 housing a disk cartridge 60 is moved in an insertion direction and a discharge direction. When the disk cartridge 60 is discharged, an ejection pin 14 which is installed on the rear surface of the carrier 3 is necessary to be pushed by a cam 51. However, since the cam 51 is driven from the outside of the hermetically sealed structure via a transmission shaft 52 by a motor unit 53, a cover mounting hole 15 is made in the chassis 1. A gap which is formed between the cover mounting hole 15 and the transmission shaft 52 is closed by a U-shaped cam cover 80 and by an elastic member 90 whose shape is nearly identical to the circumferential-wall surface of the cam cover 80 and which is arranged between the chassis 1 and the circumferential-wall surface of the cam cover 80.
