Abstract:
To protect a drive device from an earth fault or a sky fault of an output terminal.SOLUTION: A connection node between two transistors (131, 132) connected in series with each other is connected to an output terminal (TM1). A drive circuit (130A) turns on/off the transistors in accordance with a driving control signal (S) such that an output terminal voltage (V) is set to a low level or a high level. In the case where the output terminal voltage does not become equal to or lower than a first determination voltage (V) even after elapse of a prescribed time from turning on of the transistor (132) on the low side, or in the case where the output terminal voltage does not become equal to or higher than a second determination voltage (V) even after elapse of a prescribed time from turning on of the transistor (131) on the high side, a protection circuit (140A) determines that a sky fault or an earth fault is generated. When this determination is made, the drive circuit is brought into a high impedance state (both the transistors 131 and 132 are off).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
