A driving device has the driven part of a molding machine, a motor 31 which is connected with the driven part, has a frame 28, and rotates an output shaft 32 by being driven, the brake 34 which is arranged in the frame 28 and prevents the rotation of the output shaft 32, and a brake cover which is fitted to the frame 28 and releases at least a part of the brake 34. Since the brake 34 can prevent the rotation of the output shaft 32, when the operation of the driving part is stopped, and the prescribed work is being carried out, the movement of the driven part can be prevented, so that the work can be continued.
