Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge device capable of reducing degradation of printing quality due to precipitation of a solute component by suppressing the precipitation of the solute component in a flow passage having a difference of elevation between the upstream side and the downstream side.SOLUTION: A droplet discharge device 11 includes a droplet discharge part 13 capable of discharging droplets, and a supply flow passage 24 connecting a solution storage part 21 for storing a solution containing the solute component having a specific gravity larger than that of a solvent component and the droplet discharge part 13. The supply flow passage 24 includes a first flow passage part 31 and a second flow passage part 32 connected to the first flow passage part 31, and the second flow passage part 32 has a difference of elevation between the upstream side and the downstream side larger than that of the first flow passage part 31. When M1 is a value obtained by dividing a flow passage cross-section area of the first flow passage part 31 by a peripheral length of the same flow passage cross-section and M2 is a value obtained by dividing a flow passage cross-section area of the second flow passage part 32 by a peripheral length of the same flow passage cross-section, M1 is larger than M2.
