Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve braking feeling by preventing excessive adjustment of an automatic adjuster at the time of abrupt braking, and thereby preventing generation of a dragging phenomenon.
CONSTITUTION: A strut 14 of an automatic adjustor is arranged movably in its longitudinal direction. Under abrupt operation of a brake, the strut 14 is driven in its longitudinal direction by means of a wheel cylinder 31 for widening brake shoes 3, 4. Thus, an engagement arm 16a of a bell crank lever 16 is moved in a direction of widening the brake shoe 4 on which an engagement hole 15 is formed.
