Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cooling or solvent evaporation process for giving fibers having the physical properties superior to the conventional ones in the dry spinning.
CONSTITUTION: Two or more steps of gas flows different in temperature are blown to the polymer solution extruded from the spinneret in the substantially rectangular direction so that the temperatures of the gas flows are raised higher, as the steps become later from the spinneret. It has been found that the cooling or solvent-evaporation method using 2 or more steps of gas flows different in temperature improves physical properties of the fibers.
