Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer for a wet electrophotographic printer and a liquid carrier drying method utilizing the dryer adopted in a wet electrophotographic printer including a developing device developing an image on a photoreceptor medium by setting liquid carrier as a medium and a transfer device transferring the developed image to printing paper, and drying the liquid carrier remaining on the photoreceptor medium.
SOLUTION: This dryer includes a manifold arranged adjacently to the photoreceptor medium while making its opposed surface to the photoreceptor medium open and having an inlet port and an exhaust port, a suction and exhaust air path coupled with the inlet port and the exhaust port, a gas flowing means to exhaust the gas in the manifold through the exhaust port and make gas flow into the manifold through the inlet port, a condenser to condense the vaporized carrier exhausted through the exhaust port and a heater to heat the gas injected in the manifold through the inlet port.
