PURPOSE: To make an apparatus compact by using a composite lever which is formed by combining a plurality of levers having a relatively large lever ratio, and supplying a constant quantity of water per day into a bucket from water tank.
CONSTITUTION: When water is supplied into a bucket 4 which is suspended from the working point of a composite lever, a load is applied on the working point. Said load is amplified into a test load through a lower-stage load lever 2, a vertical link 9, an intermediate-stage load lever 7, the link 9 and an upper- stage load lever 13. The test load has the value which is obtained by multiplying the initial load by the combined lever ratio. The test load is applied on a test piece 21 which is set on a force applying point through a load cell 19. For example, in a slow speed load test, water droplets are supplied at a rate of 0.17ml/min. with a constant quantity pump 26 which is controlled with a timer 27, and therefore 0.25kg/day of water is supplied into the bucket 4. On 100th day, 25kg of water is supplied. The test load at this time becomes 5(t) based on the relationship of the combined lever ratio = 200. Thus the test piece is broken on about the 100th day.
