Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic change detecting method allowing canceling an effect of environmental change and individual difference between laser elements, and stable detection.
SOLUTION: Laser beam L1 is emitted and divided into beams L2 and L3, while ultrasonic wave 5 is propagated to total reflection mirror 21 of a laser 7 and displaced to cause frequency modulation. The beams L2 and L3 are passed through optical paths with different optical path length, frequency shift is caused between the beams L2 and L3, and then the beams L2 and L3 are merged and interfered. The interference light is detected to provide an intensity signal, the intensity signal is demodulated to detect a frequency modulation signal of the beam L1, and the ultrasonic wave 5 propagating to the laser 7 is detected based on the frequency modulation signal.
